Bike Safety Classes
These presentations aim to give students the essentials of bicycle and pedestrian safety in a short, assembly-style format.
Bike Rodeos
Youth bike and pedestrian rodeos focus on giving youth participants the essential skills they need to learn bicycle and pedestrian safely, while creating a fun and playful series of activities for them to learn.
Road Riding 101
This 5-part class will provide in depth safety trainings for elementary and middle school students. Bike Easy will introduce and reinforce the basics of safe bicycling and give students an opportunity to practice skills in-depth and ultimately graduate into a short road ride.
Teen Multi Modal Training
This class will focus on multi-modal road safety, giving students the resources and information that they need to try active transportation.Recognizing that the most effective way to develop courteous drivers is to put students on bikes, the class will include extensive bike riding and discussions about safe road behavior for all users.
Bike Clubs
Our After School Club Bike Clubs are presented in three “Big Ideas” – Ride a Bike; Explore your Neighborhood; and Explore by Bike. Throughout fifteen sessions, students will practice riding and safety skills on bike, learn map-reading skills and think critically about how they get around in New Orleans.
