Bike Easy's - To the Fairgrounds - Safe Riding Tips

Festival season is a great time to get around by bike!  However, it is also a time where a lot more people come to town which leads to more variables and things that may go wrong, so planning ahead is key.  Also keep these safety tips in mind as you enjoy Festival season on bike:

  • Plan your route ahead – Beware of construction work like the Desaix Bridge and closure on the Wisner Bridge – Click here for more details on closure and suggested detour
  • Look for Hazards
  • Be Prepared – If you are riding at night, make sure to have a front and back light
  • Lock up strategically and be courteous – Scroll below for bike parking areas in the fairgrounds
  • Don’t bike through crowds
  • Bike Safely – Follow the rules of the road!
