Want to get trained on teaching bike safety education and get paid to spread the joy of biking with Bike Easy?
Bike Easy is looking to certify new bike safety instructors!

League Cycling Instructors (LCIs) are ambassadors for better biking through education. After earning certification through a 3-day, League Coach-led seminar, LCIs teach Smart Cycling classes to children as well as adults. Their goal is to help people feel more secure about riding by educating people biking and people driving and to ensure that people on bikes know how to ride safely and legally.

Bike Easy instructors are paid $20/ hour and are contracted to teach bike safety classes and workshops, as well as serve as a representative for Bike Easy at community events.
Start by taking our free pre-requisite class, Smart Biking, on August 6th from 12:00 – 7:00 pm to become an expert on bike handling and the rules of the road.

Those interested in becoming certified will be required to attend the League Cycling Instructor Seminar, which will be offered through Bike Easy in New Orleans September 9-11 and taught by coach Neil Walker of the League of American Bicyclists.

Bike Easy will be able to cover the $500 cost of the Seminar plus first year’s league membership for up to 8 candidates.
