How #GivingForward Makes a Difference

To close out this intense year, Bike Easy is commemorating all that biking has done for our community! We choose to celebrate by launching #GivingForward, a month long fundraising campaign to raise $25,000 to keep the momentum rolling for better biking in 2021.

A highlight event in the campaign will be our Annual Membership Meeting next Wednesday 12/16 from 6:00-7:30pm. All Bike Easy Members will gather on zoom to celebrate our accomplishments, chart our course forward, and, for a special few, receive the Bike Easy Awards. 

If you’re not currently a Bike Easy Member, can you start or renew Membership now and it will not only count towards our fundraising goal, it will also get you an invite to our Membership Meeting. Will you become a Bike Easy Member today?

Thanks to the Bike Easy Members sustaining our work, Bike Easy has stayed dedicated to giving forward to the communities we serve, despite these times of uncertainty.

This year, we launched #BikeMatchNOLA and have connected 36 participants in need of a bicycle during the COVID-19 pandemic with bikes donated by other individuals.

In addition, we have been working hard on the advocacy initiative Complete Streets, which is our commitment to making streets safe, accessible, and sustainable for everyone across Greater New Orleans.

Lastly, we were able to continue our various Community Education & Safety programs virtually to give people of all ages and abilities the skills and confidence to ride their bike safely.

We love #GivingForward to our community through these programs. But, to make sure we can keep them rolling in 2021, we need to raise $25,000 by the new year. Will you become a Bike Easy Member and help us reach our goal today?
