Les is a native of New Orleans who has been biking the city since his college days. As a life-long bicycle driver, he has done many types of riding: urban, suburban, rural and trail; both short- and long-distance (up to week-long, 500-mile charity rides). Now retired from a career in the pharmaceutical industry Les stays active in the biking community. He works with law enforcement on traffic law for bicycling and walking in several states; as a national coach for the League of American Bicyclists, he trains new instructors across the country. He has been called upon as an expert witness in bicycling-related matters. He also works with local and state advocates on projects such as creating materials for companies like AAA and revision of state handbooks for new drivers.

As an instructor and national coach, Les understands and has devoted his time and energy to bicycling safety and education. He is excited to join the board of Bike Easy to continue his work in his home town.
