Harry Barton, Board Member

Harry M. Barton is an attorney with twenty years of experience practicing law. He is currently employed in the Regulatory division of Entergy Services LLC’s Legal Department as an Assistant General Counsel. His responsibilities include providing legal representation and advice to Entergy utilities in a variety of regulatory proceedings related to energy efficiency, integrated resource planning, renewable generation resources, sustainable energy practices, and retail rate proceedings. Harry also regularly provides legal services on a pro bono basis through the New Orleans based Pro Bono Project and Southeast Louisiana Legal Services. Harry is a daily cycle commuter and passionate about bicycle safety.
Harry is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana and has resided in New Orleans since July of 2005. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Louisiana State University, as well as a juris doctorate and a bachelor’s degree in civil law from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. Prior to joining the Bike Easy Board of Directors, Harry’s community service in New Orleans included service as a Project Leader and member of the Board of Directors for HandsOn New Orleans and service as a Project Leader for the Young Leadership Council’s Leadership Development Series.
Harry is also the lead singer and songwriter for the New Orleans-based rock band The New Orleans Johnnys, which earned OffBeat Magazine Best of the Beat Award nominations for Best Rock/Roots Artist and Best Rock/Roots Album in 2020. Harry also enjoys boiling crawfish, playing disc golf, cheering for the New Orleans Pelicans, and agonizing over LSU and Saints football. Harry and his wife Mandy welcomed their first child into the family in February of 2022 and are enjoying being parents to a wonderful young lady, who is a budding cycle enthusiast in her own right.
