Greg Doolittle, Board Member

Greg is an Emergency Manager for the City of New Orleans’ Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness. He also holds an appointment as a reservist for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) which deploys him nationally to assist local governments recovering from disasters. A former Senior Disaster Program Manager for the American Red Cross, he oversaw response operations for the state of Louisiana. Earlier in his career he managed international humanitarian programs, largely centering refugees, for the International Rescue Committee and various USAID contractors in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Syria. Greg has a master’s degree in Humanitarian Emergencies from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Greg has biked to work in three other cities but his current bike commute, from the Bywater through the French Quarter to City Hall, is his favorite. He is honored to have been chosen to join the Bike Easy Board of Directors and looks forward to contributing meaningfully to its efforts to get New Orleans biking safely and equitably.
