Eric Spinrad, Education Programs Coordinator Assistant

Eric has been walking, biking, and living in New Orleans for over a decade. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech and is currently pursuing his Masters in Historic Preservation at Tulane University. He has served the community as a barista, cook, bike taxi operator, historical tour guide, and a maritime custodian. Regardless of the type of work or destination, bicycles are central to Eric’s life, and he hopes to keep encouraging others to do the same.

For the past five years Eric has served as a League Certified Instructor within the City of New Orleans and has participated in numerous Bike Easy education programs. Bike Easy is excited to have Eric join the team as an Education Programs Coordinator Assistant in serving its mission of educating the public about bicycle safety, law, advocacy, and maintenance. He believes that bike advocacy and education is not simply about getting people out on bicycles, but also about making cities, such as New Orleans, healthier, socially sustained, and environmentally conscious.
