Elyse Bejasa

Elyse is a first-generation Filipina American who is committed to mobility justice in New Orleans and beyond. Born and raised in Queens, New York, Elyse moved to New Orleans in 2016. Her advocacy work in cycling focuses on building community and opportunity for cyclists of color. She is an active member in the local cycling community and has engaged as a commuter, racer, and recreational biker.
With a background in nonprofit fundraising, Elyse has been working in the nonprofit sector since 2009, with experience in individual fundraising, grant writing, and other funding streams at organizations in New York City and New Orleans. She resides in Gentilly with her two dogs and three bikes.
