Barrie Black, Board Secretary

Barrie (she/ her) is a Lafayette native and has called New Orleans home for over a decade. After obtaining a Masters from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, she joined the Louisiana Public Health Institute (LPHI) focusing on utilizing data and engaging communities as partners to drive system and environmental changes for improving health outcomes.  Barrie currently serves as Program Manager with LPHI’s Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning team where she leads community needs assessments and planning efforts with entities across Louisiana. She strongly believes place matters when it comes to advancing health equity and transportation is key. Bike Easy has been essential to the advancements of New Orleans bicycle infrastructure and Barrie is proud to serve on the Board.
