Safety Sunday – Bike Lane Cleanup – Marconi Drive

The summer is over, it’s getting cooler outside and you know what that means – it’s time for us to get back to cleaning up the streets!

Marconi Drive was the first Bike Lane Cleanup we ever did and we made recommendations to the city that they should schedule regular cleaning especially around the fall as the leaves collect in the bike lane. We had an advocate reach out to us, the park, and the city – but neither their requests or our suggestions were acknowledged by the city. So join us in helping to create a better space for people to bike along our beautiful park, especially during these cooler days.

We’ll be set up outside of Tad Gormley on the sidewalk along the bike lane on Marconi.

We’ll provide shovels, push brooms, construction bags, safety vests, and water. But feel free to bring any of your own supplies!
