The Bike Easy April Challenge is a chance to explore the region, virtually connect with the community, and celebrate biking in Greater New Orleans. With our virtual platform, you can encourage your friends, family, coworkers and even yourself to get out and ride. Through friendly competition, sharing stories and photos of your rides, and exciting give-aways, this is your chance to connect with and celebrate New Orleans’ biking community.

It doesn’t matter if you ride every day or if you haven’t been on a bike in years. You only have to ride for ten minutes to take part and you will also be rewarded for encouraging others to ride. Indoor rides count, too!
Plus, generous supporters and bike friendly businesses across the Greater New Orleans region are donating fantastic prizes that individuals and teams can qualify for by riding their bikes during the Bike Easy April Challenge. This year’s Bike Easy April Challenge is about virtually connecting with and celebrating our community. Everyone has struggled this past year, and for many of us biking has been a lifeline: a way to exercise, relax, and explore. We deserve, and maybe even need, a chance to virtually connect with and celebrate all that biking and our community have done.
Even if you haven’t enjoyed the many benefits of biking during this time, now is your chance to take advantage of the Bike Easy April Challenge and get out and ride during the month of April. You can even spread the joy of biking by inviting your co-workers and friends to join.
For the past five years, we’ve hosted the Bike Easy April Challenge as a friendly competition to get more people on bikes. We’re certainly keeping the friendly competition, and encourage you and your team to earn the most points by riding and encouraging others to ride as much as possible. And even though more people are riding bikes in Greater New Orleans than ever before, that doesn’t mean we can’t get even more people riding.
While we are only counting solo rides and rides with your household to maintain covid safety, we have plenty of ways to encourage your community to ride, and connect with your fellow riders.
On our virtual platform, LoveToRide, you can earn points for yourself and your team by logging rides and encouraging others to get out and ride too. LoveToRide, you’ll see photos and stories from other people’s rides in Greater New Orleans and be able to share yours too. All of us want to find new places to explore in the region, so make sure to share your routes and some photos too!
