Bike Repair Stations at New Orleans Public Libraries

Posted by David Meza on August 1, 2018 in Bike-Friendly Businesses

Bike Easy and The New Orleans Public Library have partnered to help promote biking in the city!

The first public access repair stations has been installed at the main library, with 3 more libraries set to install their own this summer. These stations will be located outside of libraries throughout the city for many residence to have 24 hour access to repair their bicycles. Each station has a stand to hold your bicycle and a complete set of tools to allow you to make adjustments or change a flat tire. The stations also have a durable air pump which has a gauge so you can make sure your tires are properly inflated. (Check the recommended PSI on the side of your tire.)

There’s a lot more exciting programming to come, including Bike Easy workshops which will be highlighting how to use these stations to repair and maintain your bicycle. So be sure to follow Bike Easy and the NOPL!
