So many complex problems face us today — globally, nationally, and right here in New Orleans. Some problems, however, are simple. Our streets should no longer be built with only automobiles in mind. Our streets belong to all of us — people of all ages and abilities, whether we’re walking, biking, driving, or riding transit. Our streets should be designed and built for all of us.

Join us Thursday, July 26th, at 10am at City Council to speak up for Complete Streets. Bike Easy and the New Orleans Complete Streets Coalition will make a presentation to the New Orleans City Council in support of a data-driven and equity-focused Complete Streets Policy for New Orleans.

Complete Streets are based on the premise that everybody, regardless of who they are, where they live, or how they get around, should have the option to travel in a safe and convenient manner. We know that how we get around affects so many aspects of our lives. Not only our daily routine, but our health, safety, financial stability, and overall quality of life. Affordable, safe, convenient transportation for everyone is an essential ingredient to the vibrant future we want for everyone who calls New Orleans home.

Join us Thursday, July 26th, at 10am at City Council to speak up for safe and accessible transportation options for New Orleans residents.

If you can’t join us Thursday, make your voice heard by calling Mayor Cantrell to ask her to support Complete Streets for New Orleans!
