Log Your Miles to Win!
Mid-way through the Bike Easy Challenge
We are halfway through the Bike Easy Challenge! Last night, I had a great time unwinding on my bike ride home down the Lafitte Greenway after a long day of good meetings. And the ride automatically got logged for the Bike Easy Challenge through the Ride Report app on my phone.
Have you logged a ride for the Bike Easy Challenge yet? Every time you log a ride, your chance of winning increases!
You can connect another app you use to Love to Ride, like Ride Report, Strava, or MapMyRide, to have rides registered automatically, you can log your ride using the Love to Ride app, or you can make sure you’re counting your miles at http://www.lovetoride.net/bikeeasy.
Even better, have you gotten a friend, co-worker, or brand new bike rider to log a ride yet? The best strategy to win the team Challenge is encourage others to log their rides as well (and have them mark you as their “encourager”). I’m excited to see so many teams in a stiff competition.
You can learn all the details at http://www.lovetoride.net/bikeeasy.
There are two weeks left to log a ride, encourage new riders, and win prizes. The Bike Easy Challenge is a free, team-based competition that aims to get more people on bike, especially new bike riders. You can win prizes for encouraging people to log a ride, biking multiple days in a row, and for the number of miles ridden.
All you need to do is ride a bike for ten minutes, anytime, anywhere. If it’s been a while since you’ve been in the saddle, I suggest checking out the Lafitte Greenway, City Park, or Audubon Park to get back in the swing of things. Or just take a quick trip to the store or a friend’s house in the neighborhood. Or grab a Blue Bike to head to lunch.
One ride is all you need to enter the weekly prize drawing. If you log a trip this week you could win:
- Carriage ride for 2 – Mid City Carriages
- $20 Certificate – Balance Chair Massage (found in all Whole Foods Markets)
- $25 Certificate – Café Luna
Need another reason to ride a bike? April 20-22 is Bike to Worship Weekend! Ride your bike to or from your place of worship to celebrate biking. Just remember to log your ride at http://www.lovetoride.net/bikeeasy.
Look forward to seeing you on the street!
