Ride to work April 11-21, win prizes! Register today

Bike Easy is inviting you to participate in our 5th Annual Bike to Work Week! This year, we’re celebrating that we now have over 100 miles of bikeways to ride to work on in New Orleans.

Bike to Work Week events will take place over April 11-21st and there are several ways to get involved. You can lead a team at your workplace, join an existing team, or simply ride as an individual. It’s important that everyone sign up here to be counted (and entered in raffles). If you’re ready for a leadership position, sign up here to become a Workplace Team Captain. Find out more below!

Bike to Work Week

Bike to Work Week is New Orleans’ premier event to encourage bicycle commuting and showcase the benefits of biking for transportation. This year we are also celebrating the work of the City of New Orleans, Entergy, Bike Easy, and many other partners that worked to get over 100 miles of bikeways constructed in New Orleans! NOLA Bike to Work Week is organized by Bike Easy, presented by Entergy, and supported by Bike Law Louisiana.

Bike to Work Week events will include a Bicycle Valet at French Quarter Fest, community forums, a commuter happy hour, informational pit stops, bicycle commuter workshops, and Bike to Work Day in Lafayette Square on Wednesday, April 20. For more information check out

Become a Workplace Team Captain

As a Workplace Team Captain, you will recruit your colleagues to bike to work, encourage them to log their rides on Bike Easy’s online recording form, help promote Bike to Work Day on social media, and attend events coordinated by Bike Easy throughout the week. Bike Easy will provide training for all team captains in the weeks leading up the event. There will also be prizes for the winning workplaces, and raffle prizes for individual participants! If that appeals to you, please fill out this form.

Join an Existing Team

Sign up for Bike to Work Week as normal and indicate your team. Then during the week, log your rides and help promote Bike to Work Week. Everyone’s ride is better when there are more people riding bikes.

Just Sign Up and Ride as Normal (or the first time!)

Even if you don’t want to join a team, we are excited to know that you’ll be riding to work during Bike to Work Week. It takes a minute to pledge and helps Bike Easy demonstrate how many New Orleanians ride bikes for transportation. Counting participants helps us build political and financial power.

Become a Member!

Bike Easy relies on the small (or large!) contributions of individuals and businesses to power our encouragement and events, advocacy, and education efforts. If this speaks to your values, please consider becoming a member or donating.
