We had 2 new events this year that were able to happen thanks to community partners approaching us with opportunities to collaborate- The Ride to Remember was brought about as a healing space to honor people who’d lost their lives biking in the city along with guided off-street bike tours of the beautiful grounds of Lake Lawn Cemetery. The Not-So-Easy Bike Easy Scavenger Hunt, was the latest of our numerous collaborations with Dirty Coast – bringing together 140 people to chase down and submit challenges scattered throughout the city. Both of these were great successes- and we’re looking forward to bringing them back again in 2025!

In addition to new programing, we continued to grow our other Community Programs. We partnered with the Repair Cafe NOLA to offer community workshops on bike repair, and worked with the Broadside NOLA to offer Bicycle Valet and a discounted ticket for people riding their bike to the viewing of Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure. We also partnered with the Broadside to be our stop and end spot for this past year’s Bicycle Second Line.
Our Bicycle Valet continued it’s presence as a staple to many great festivals around the city. And we continued consultations with local businesses and organizations to help secure bike racks – to ensure biking is a great option even when our valet volunteers aren’t around!
Thanks to all of our Community Partners, and our community members, for helping us continue to achieve our mission!
We’re always looking for more community partners, so if you know anyone that would like to partner with us or could benefit from promoting biking – always feel free to reach out to me! If you’d like to support our mission as an individual, consider becoming a member or renewing before the end of the year!
With appreciation,
