What We Do
Examples of our work
We bring about change through education, advocacy, and community.
Virtual Bicycle Workshops
Our programs promote bicycle safety and equip old and new riders alike with the resources and skills they need to ride a bicycle safely and confidently, with the ultimate goal of increasing bicycle ridership in our region.
Complete Streets Campaign
An effective Complete Streets policy means every street that is built or reconstructed is designed to accommodate all people. Our long-term goal is that this complete streets approach is institutionalized and normalized in all jurisdictions of Greater New Orleans and that all steps of street design, construction, and operations embody these values.
Bicycle Second Line
We gather several hundred riders of all ages, interests, and backgrounds and roll through our beautiful New Orleans neighborhoods while brass bands set the tempo. It’s a great time and it serves an important role in raising awareness of Bike Easy and the benefits of bicycling in the Crescent City.
How We've Helped
Increase in number of people biking to work since 2003
Number of people reached by our Bike Safety Programs
Decrease in risk of being injured while biking
“A better cycling environment and greater education for all bikers, drivers, and walkers can only lead to a more vibrant community encouraging more people to bike because they feel safer.”
