ST. CLAUDE BRIDGE COMMUNITY SAFETY DAY
Saturday, May 12th, 4-6pm
All Souls Episcopal Church, 5500 St Claude Avenue
More details: http://blog.sustainthenine.org/
We’re a group of 9th Ward residents who have been working hard to make the St. Claude Bridge safer for bikers and walkers. With partners at Tulane and the University of New Orleans, we have drafted preliminary plans to advocate for safety improvements to the bridge, and we want to share them with you!
At the event, we will be celebrating the release of the document, getting your input, and kicking off our campaign to fix the bridge!
The event will also include:
- A Bicycle Safety Class, sponsored by Bike Easy, will be held at All Souls Directly before the event, from 3-4pm. A fun, hands-on workshop that will cover your questions about safe riding behavior and choosing the right bike. If you plan to attend this class, registration is appreciated but not necessary!
- Bike Safety Check-over and Fix a Flat workshop!
- Bike Raffle!
- Bike Rodeo for Kids!
- Free bike lights to the first 50 participants!
The event is FREE and open to the public, and all are invited to attend. Bring your bike or just yourself!
