Anyone can participate
As a second line parade around the city, anyone can participate. Consider donating to help pay for the band, police permits and t-shirts as the event is hosted by two nonprofit organizations. Dust off that bike, fill up those tires and be escorted to the Gentilly Festival by brass band in style!
- Avoid traffic and parking hassles
- Meet your neighbors
- Take in the sights and sounds of the neighborhood
- Escorted by a brass band and the police
We hope to see you and your family and friends for this fun ride through the city on roads we don’t normally get to ride on.

Parade Pace with Live Music
The pace is 7-10 mph (which anyone can do) with three stops. It’s a fundraiser so put some money in the hat, get a great t-shirt and see the city as it was meant to be seen: by bicycle.
Check out past event photos on our Facebook page from the Bayou Boogaloo Bicycle Second Line
In addition to our Route Sheet, you can check out where we’re going below on out google map. We’ll make 2 stops.
Rest Stops and Meet-ups
You can join the parade at the beginning or anywhere along the route. We will stop 3 times to keep at a parade pace and refresh with water.
*Dillard University *1 stop to be determined
Want a stop at you business, consider sponsorship (starts at $300) to help us defray costs and get publicity with the bicycle crowd.
