Come celebrate the end of Walk and Roll to School Week with Bike Easy and the City of New Orleans Health Department! Since Hurricane Nate spoiled our Bicycle Second Line fun, the Free Agents Brass Band will be out to lead this ride!

Walk and Roll to School week is a weeklong effort that teaches children how to safely enjoy the health benefits of walking and biking. As part of year-round programming by Bike Easy and others, schools all around the region are holding fun biking and walking events from Oct 16 – 20. This ride is a celebration of the week’s events, and all are welcome to join!

The Bicycle Second Line is pedal-powered version of the famous, musical second line with a live band on a trailer leading the ride. All you need is a bike!

This ride will last about an hour and a half and will primarily weave through beautiful City Park. The route is about 7 miles, and there will be one bathroom/water/snacks break. There will be ride rangers guiding people and a support truck to help anyone with bike issues that come up.

Registration: 11:30am
Pre-Ride Stretch: 12:10pm
Ride Begins: 12:30pm
