“A PLAN FOR PEOPLE ON BIKES” COMMUNITY FORUM
Geared towards service industry workers and others with non-traditional schedules
Thu, Apr 14, 2016
7:00 – 8:30 am
New Orleans Public Library Main Branch, 219 Loyola Ave, 3rd Floor Auditorium.
Join Bike Easy and our partners to help envision a future for New Orleans that truly accommodates people who ride bikes!
The City of New Orleans is updating the Plan for the 21st Century, commonly referred to as the Master Plan. Come help Bike Easy develop a strategy to ensure this official vision for the city’s future includes safe, accessible biking for everyone. This session is scheduled to accommodate hospitality and service industry workers and others who don’t maintain a traditional 9 to 5, and of course everyone is welcome. There is an identical forum also being held on Thursday, April 16 at 6pm.
There will be a short panel discussion, an update from last year’s Community Forum, and small group discussions to develop recommendations for the Master Plan and strategies to ensure our voices are heard in the planning process.
NOLA Bike to Work Week is organized by Bike Easy, presented by Entergy, and supported by Bike Law LA.
This Event is part of Bike Easy’s Advocacy Project.
