New Orleans Bike to Work Week – presented by Entergy, organized by Bike Easy, and supported by Bike Law LA – is a series of events, encouragement activities, and challenges to help get more people riding to work! New Orleans is a great city for bike commuting, and this year, we are celebrating the achievement of 100+ miles of bikeways installed in New Orleans!

Due to inclement weather, Bike to Work Week is being extended to support further easy opportunities to try bike commuting. Updated schedule below.

‘A Plan for People on Bikes’ Community Forum RESCHEDULED — Thursday, April 14 from 2 to 3:30pm, New Orleans Public Library Main Branch, 219 Loyola Ave, 3rd Floor Auditorium.

This City of New Orleans is updating it’s Master Plan. Come help Bike Easy develop a strategy to ensure this official vision for the city’s future includes safe, accessible biking for everyone. ‘A Plan for People on Bikes’ Community Forum — Thursday, April 14 from 6 to 7:30pm, New Orleans Public Library Main Branch, 219 Loyola Ave, 3rd Floor Auditorium.

For all the folks who ride to jobs with a more traditional schedule, stop by the Community Forum on your way home to help Bike Easy figure out how to ensure a strong vision for bicycling is included in the City of New Orleans Master Plan update.

Downtown Bike Parking Audit — Sunday, April 17 at 1pm, meet up at Lafayette Square

Come out to help members of the Bike Easy Advocacy Committee do an audit of downtown bike parking. Using a new app, volunteers will ride around to log downtown bike racks into a database, so we can create a detailed map of bike parking availability to help determine where more bike parking is needed.
