Championing the Bike Easy Challenge
Challenge Champions help more people get riding and build a strong community!
Thank you for being a champion for the Bike Easy Challenge the past! April is coming up and I’m hoping you’ll once again Champion your team or workplace. The Challenge is all about helping more people get riding and building a strong community around the joys of biking, and Champions are absolutely crucial the effort!
If I haven’t met you before, I’m David Meza, the Community Programs Coordinator at Bike Easy. After being on the Planning Committee since the start of the Bike Easy Challenge, I’m excited to be taking the lead on the effort this year. Leading the efforts around Bike Valet and Bike Easy Certified in addition to my roles in the Nola Social Ride, RUBARB Bike Co-Op, leading private bike tours, and working part-time as a bicycle mechanic – I’m excited to leverage these touches in the bicycle community to expand the Bike Easy Challenge!
Our goals at Bike Easy for the challenge this year will be to continue to expand ridership by growing the number of participating organizations and individuals. To meet these goals, we will also host or participate in at least 2 events each week of April to help build the bike community.
After signing up to be a Champion, we’ll share a calendar of all the events around the challenge for you to share with your team, and you’ll receive regular updates to highlight the upcoming events. In addition, we offer “Lunch and Learns” and other custom opportunities to engage people in your workplace. Let me know if you’re interested in setting something up when you fill out the Challenge Champion form. or just respond to this email.
Please sign up today to champion a team again for this year’s Bike Easy Challenge!
Also, we’re still looking for Bike Easy Challenge sponsors who want to help improve the region through bicycling and gain valuable recognition and visibility. If your business/organization is interested, please review this sponsorship invitation contact email@example.com for more information.
