3 Ways to Get Involved in October
October is an exciting month for Bike Easy and we hope you’ll join us!
Here are three ways you can show your support this month for making biking easy, safe, and fun for everyone in Greater New Orleans.
We are excited to celebrate 15 years at the Bike Easy Spoketacular! Buy your tickets now!
Bike Easy 15th Anniversary Spoketacular
Saturday, October 20th – 7pm to 10pm
NEW LOCATION: Seven Three Distilling, 301 N. Claiborne Ave.
Not only will you get to socialize with fellow bike lovers, but your ticket includes an impressive spread of local restaurants, plenty of beer, wine, and batch cocktails, all while enjoying tunes you can move your feet to. Throughout the night, there will be fun activities and displays to celebrate 15 years of Bike Easy’s success, a silent auction with great items like a stay-cation at Harrah’s Hotel and massage gift certificates, and lots of your favorite people in the same room!
CONNECT THE CRESCENT
Help us Connect The Crescent! Volunteer to build protected bikeways in Central City!
Connect The Crescent is a volunteer and community-driven effort helping our friends and neighbors experience safer and more comfortable riding on the two-way, parking-protected bikeway on Baronne, the protected crossings entering and exiting the Lafitte Greenway at Basin Street, as well as biking to and from the Algiers Ferry.
This Saturday and Sunday, October 13th and 14th we’ll be installing the demonstration on Simon Bolivar and Martin Luther King Jr. in Central City.
VOLUNTEER WITH BIKE VALET
Bike Valet is a free service to provide festival-goers a safe and easy way to secure their bikes while encouraging more people to get on bike. Bike Valet is volunteer-run and a great way to get involved with Bike Easy! Volunteer for these Bike Valet events in October:
- Blues and BBQ Fest October 13-15th
- Le Petit Theater October 18th
- Bike Easy Spoketacular 20th
