More protected bikeways are coming!

Nicole rides her bike every day from her home downtown to her job Uptown on the campus of Tulane University. She says that before the changes to the bikeway on Baronne Street, “I felt unsafe without any protection from traffic and having to dodge cars parked in the bike lane”. Now with the new two-way, protected bikeway in place she feels much more comfortable on her daily ride. “I love having a dedicated bike lane that separates me from the traffic!”

Help us Connect The Crescent! Volunteer to build protected bikeways in Central City and the French Quarter!

Connect The Crescent is a volunteer and community-driven effort, and thanks to your involvement, Nicole and so many more of our friends and neighbors are experiencing safer and more comfortable riding on the two-way, parking-protected bikeway on Baronne, the protected crossings entering and exiting the Lafitte Greenway at Basin Street, as well as biking to and from the Algiers Ferry.

Help us build a New Orleans that’s more connected and accessible to everyone:
