3 Ways to Get Involved

Get involved with Bike Easy!

Whether it’s through Bike Easy community education and safety programming that gives people of all ages and abilities the skills and confidence to ride their bike safely or engaging the public and developing civic leaders through advocacy and organizing, Bike Easy is always looking to involve the people of Greater New Orleans in our work.

Here are three ways you can get involved today!

Smart Biking – Adult Safety Classes

Smart Biking is an adult safety class structured in 3 separate sessions. Each session covers different topics to help people on bike know their rights, feel comfortable riding in traffic, and learn how to maintain their bike. Sessions will take place the first and third weekends of June.

Complete Streets Ambassadors

Help make biking and walking safer in your neighborhood by becoming a Complete Streets Ambassador. Complete Streets represent the goal of bringing streets fully built to share to all the people of Greater New Orleans. As an Ambassador you will work to promote walking, biking, transit, and livable streets in your neighborhood.

Summer 2018 Complete Street Ambassadors will attend a weekend training on June 9th and 10th followed by a 3-month commitment ending in September.

Participants from Jefferson or Orleans Parishes are encouraged to participate. Our goals for Streets Built to Share are the same in both Parishes.
