Register for the Bike Easy Challenge & encourage someone else to ride with you

The Bike Easy Challenge is a fun and free competition for everyone from April 1 – 30. Encourage your family, friends, and colleagues to ride a bike at least once for 10 minutes while earning points and prizes. Every time a ride is logged you qualify to win a prize from bike-positive businesses across the region such as Capoeira New Orleans, Mid City Carriages, Urban South Brewery, The White Roach & so many more!! Register as an individual or create a team to compete.

Bike Easy Challenge Champions are regular riders who feel confident asking folks at work, in social clubs, or at their place of worship to join a team for a month long biking challenge. Visit the Champion toolkit – there are sample emails & social media posts to help you to promote the Challenge. You can also download a Challenge flyer by following the link on this page. Encourage other new riders as well as regular riders to register and log at least one 10-minute ride on the Challenge site.

Also, we have events coming up like – happy hours, Bike to Work Day, Try-A-Bike sessions and meet ups to make it easy to get folks on bikes. Visit our Bike Easy Challenge calendar of events. We will also have giveaways like stickers, buttons, patch kits & waterproof seat covers at all events. If you’d like a team pack to promote more biking, contact Virginia.

During last year’s Challenge, some teams were creative in promoting participation in the Challenge among their co-workers. One team organized a happy hour bike ride so that everyone rode to a bar after work with rentals available for those without their own bikes; some folks brought extra bikes to work and had lunch time rides; some organizations created internal incentives to promote participation. The more people in the Challenge, the more fun the competition will be!

Register today and hope to see you riding!
