Traci’s lifelong love of cycling and her background in urban planning lead her to join the Bike Easy Board of Directors in 2018. She is the Managing Director of the LSU Coastal Sustainability Studio, and is an Assistant Professor of Sustainable Urbanism with the LSU School of Architecture. She also teaches urban design and sustainable transportation planning at the University of New Orleans as an Adjunct Professor. Prior to working at LSU she taught at East Carolina University, where she focused on building safe and equitable coastal communities. Traci received her Ph.D. and M.U.R.P from the University of New Orleans, and a B.A. in graphic design from Baldwin-Wallace University.
While hailing from Northeast Ohio, Traci has proudly called New Orleans home for the last 20 years. She rides casually about town, but can also be found on the Mississippi river levee or Tammany Trace as she trains for her next MS150 or cross country biking challenge. She believes that everyone in New Orleans and beyond should have access to safe bike and pedestrian routes that improve quality of life, personal health, and transportation options in an equitable manner.
