Community Programs Coordinator
David has been a life-long cyclist and rides many miles a day for commuting, recreation, group riding, or hauling a trailer for a moving company. Be it in his hometown of Chicago or while he was studying education in Peoria, Illinois; David has always seen biking as the ideal way to explore a city, fast enough for a commute, slow enough you can still take in the sights around you, and convenient to hop off and go inside any location.
Working with Bike Easy has allowed him to combine many of his greatest passions: community work, education, biking, and of course, the great city of New Orleans. David has been working to promote bike riding in the city through education programs and community engagement efforts and is excited to continue in these and more capacities.
As Bicycle Parking Coordinator, David looks forward to improving the bike parking through the city in order to promote more commuter bicycling, encourage bikers to explore more businesses and neighborhoods, and help reduce the risk of theft. He also looks forward to expanding the popular Bike Valet provided at many of the festivals and many pop-up events in the area
